Author Interview- Andrea Pearson

I'd like to welcome, Andrea Pearson to The Writing World. I had the pleasure of working with her
and it was awesome. Thank you, Andrea.

1. Please tell us a little more about yourself
I'm a music enthusiast and enjoy teaching and playing many instruments,
especially the piano and viola. I love hiking and biking with my husband,
oil painting, reading, watching movies, spending time with family and
close friends, and thunderstorms. :-)

2. When did you begin writing?
I've always dabbled at writing, but didn't get serious about it until 2008.

3. What's the most important thing you've learned so far when it comes to
writing?
To keep on keepin' on! Always be working on something. Learn to accept
(and be okay with) criticism.

4. How many books have you written?
Five! :-)

5. Who's your favorite Author?
I know he's not in my writing "genre," but Michael Crichton is the first
to come to mind. He's been one of my favorite authors for a long time. He
really knew how to grip his readers. And I love logical, scientific type
books—he excels at that. Next, J.K. Rowling. I LOVE Harry Potter. :-)

6. What inspires you?
My readers. The best thing in the world is getting to know my readers and
having them encourage and uplift me. Next, my husband, family and music.
Also, being physically active really helps. My husband and I go hiking
every week and we brainstorm ideas while hiking.

7. What is the name of your most recent book and if you had to sum it up
in 30 or less words, what would you say?
August Fortress, Kilenya Series Book Three—which comes out soon. My summary:
Danger. Five Senses. Traps. Getting knocked out. Special, magical
abilities. Why’s she dating him? Exciting. Hands-on.

8. One of your favorite quotes -
"If you would not be forgotten
As soon as you are dead and rotten
Either write things worth reading
Or do things worth the writing"
- Benjamin Franklin

9. List 3 books you just recently read and would recommend?
Pride and Prejudice by Jenni James
Target in Ties by Tristi Pinkston
The Sapphire Flute by Karen Hoover

10. Do you have plans for a new book?
Sure do! Lots of them!

11. Is this book part of a series?
I have to finish writing August Fortress, Kilenya Series Book Three, then
there are three more books in the series to write.

12. If you could pass on one message to aspiring writer's out there....
what would you tell them?
Fully research every avenue of publishing and make sure you know where you
want to go, and write, write, write!

Where can your readers find you?
