Release Day Blitz for Always You by Missy Johnson

I was thrilled when I was offered a graduate teaching position at the prestigious Tennerson Girls Academy.

At twenty-three, this would be my first ‘real’ teaching assignment. Working at the elite boarding school, home to the  daughters of some of the wealthiest people in the world, was a great opportunity that I would’ve been stupid to pass up.

One week into my new job, and I suddenly had no idea why I chose high school…I was a seventeen year old boy once, I knew how teenage girls behaved.

You can’t even imagine the hell of trying to teach thirty, hormonal driven seventeen year olds who have been cooped up, away from any male contact. I could handle the whispers every time I entered the room. I could even handle the obvious attempts at gaining my attention. What I
couldn’t handle was her…

Rich bitches and way too many rules. Was it any wonder that I hated school?

Add to that the lack of male contact, and I was going insane. Like literally. I wasn’t used to this. A year ago I was normal. I had a boyfriend, friends and a loving family. There is nothing normal about me anymore, and nobody here lets me forget that.

My name is Wrenn, and I’m only here because my aunt took me in after what happened, but
my aunt also happens to be the headmistress of this academy…Can you see my problem?

I’m hated for my lack of money, and I’m hated for who my Aunt is. Then he arrived. Dalton Reed. My new history teacher. Slowly, he helped me see that even in the worst situations, there is always hope.

Just as our nerves started to settle, an ear-piercing woman’s scream good enough to make straight hair curl tore through us. She started shouting in a foreign language. Christy and I scrambled off the bunk bed and stared at the wall we’d been leaning on. Heavy footsteps rushed past our door and muffled orders mingled with scuffling noises.
Help her, Nadia ordered.
Before I could even raise the issue of how I would help, I found myself pounding on the door and shouting to be let out. It occurred to me to check the lock and I did so, feeling oddly relieved to know it was indeed locked. I’d have looked quite the fool standing there shouting to an unlocked door.
George finally whipped the door open. “What?” he grunted.
“Let me help her. I can calm her. I can speak Russian,” I said, all in a rush.
“You can?” George and Christy asked at the same time.
I can? I mentally fired the question at Nadia.
I can, and if you are willing, I can make it seem as if you can, Nadia confirmed.
“Yes,” I said, feeling light-headed.
George grabbed my left arm and hauled me into the hallway.
Once we reached the open doorway to the room next door, I spotted a dark-haired young woman struggling against Travis, Carlos, and two men I didn’t know. Travis’s bear hug had the girl’s arms pinned to her sides. The two new men held her legs still, and Carlos had his hand over her mouth, trying to contain her screams. Our presence surprised the girl enough for Travis and the others to wrestle her to her knees.
“Release her!” I shouted, shocking myself by repeating the order in crisp Russian.
Travis looked up in surprise and nearly lost his grip. He recovered a moment later, but I thought I saw a flash of amusement before he looked away.
“Get her to quit screaming first,” Carlos snapped.
I hadn’t noticed that the girl had renewed her verbal and physical struggles.
I can help once she is calmer, Nadia said, making it pretty obvious what I had to do.
“Calm down, save your strength,” I told the girl.
She twisted her head violently left and released a torrent of vicious speech that, loosely translated, meant, “Shut your face, stupid cow. I don’t need your help. I don’t want your help. These fools don’t know who they’re messing with. My father will kill every one of them.”
I provided the baffled men with a modified translation.

Julie mainly confines her writing to three genres: Christian inspirational, YA real-world science fiction, and normal science fiction.
She likes teaching, writing, reading, sleeping, doing puzzles, and hanging out with friends. (Not necessarily in that order)
Writing has made her super picky about the things she reads but normally, her reading list includes something that fits under the thriller, mystery, science fiction, or fantasy.
Occasionally, she attempts short poetry. The poems turn into songs, which she sings with abandon when nobody's looking.

Exception by Patty Maximini Blitz

Exception by Patty Maximini
Publication date: November 2nd 2013
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Synopsis:
When all hope for moving on from a life filled with pain and abuse was gone, Emily Watson
closed herself off to the world, packed her bags, and moved across the country in search of a new life. What she found was a career she adored and friends she loved. It wasn’t a full and complete life, but it was definitely better than what she knew before.

When all hope for being loved and accepted for who he was instead of what he had was gone, Taylor Carter decided that trusting people outside of his family wasn’t really smart and would only lead to disappointment. With his world turned upside down, his life became about his work, and every new relationship was meaningless and superficial. He was safe and definitely content but never truly happy.

When all hope for staying awake during a long day was gone, Emily and Taylor found themselves at the same coffee cart. Little did they know then that the worst coffee they’d ever had would forever change their lives.

When hopeless people are blinded by an endless pain, when contentment and safety feel like the best options, and when love seems impossible, they may just find an exception.

AUTHOR BIO
Words have always been a passion of mine. I’ve always loved to read them, write them and learn them in other languages. Last year, I’ve decided to take that passion and turn it into a book, the result was Exception, my very first novel due this October.

Whenever I’m not sitting behind my computer, I’m either enjoying the company of my dear hubby, Alex, and our four four-legged babies or reading. I’m a firm believer in long hand written letters, love of any kind and good stories.

“I’ve never bowed or kneeled for anyone,” Rafael says. “Never thought I would.” Then he drops to his knees. He slides his arms around my waist, tugging me closer and bows his head.

“You own me, Sophie.” He looks up, his dark eyes hitting me with enough force to snatch the breath from my lungs. “You’ve owned me from the moment I walked into your life in that music room. Then I saw you slipping out the window like the wolves were after you and I knew I wanted you in my life. You’ve wrapped yourself in my heart and mind. I can’t get you out. I don’t want to.”

Sophie Fisher’s life is on fire and it’s not her breathtaking voice lighting it, but the trail of debts her father left behind after he passed away a few months ago. If she’s not ducking around corners or slipping out of windows to escape the debt collectors and a slew of characters sent from hell, she’s dealing with her rebellious fifteen-year-old sister, Lilli, who is still coming to terms with their father’s death. And as if that’s not enough, Rafael Van Rees bursts into her life—literally—bringing with him a life the public had no idea of, memories and feelings of a past long forgotten.

Rafael Van Rees, Maestro extraordinaire, has always prided himself as a man in control of his destiny, music and women. As far as he is concerned his past is a black cloud in a distance, until he meets Sophie and soon his world spins out of control in more ways than one. He knows that the darkest sins and secrets eventually do reveal themselves, and fighting not only for his life, but also his heart is a necessity, rather than a choice. When it comes to Sophie, he will stop at nothing to protect her from his past. Even if it kills him.

I write YA, NA and Adult. My motto: Passion rules. I enjoy writing stories about people finding love in the most unexpected places, coupled with adventurous journeys, whether it's urban, fantasy, sci-fi, contemporary or paranormal romance. There's always a happy ever after, no matter how long it takes to get there. When I'm not working in my full time job, I don my supermom cape, or in most cases find myself trapped between the pages of a book in search for a hero who'll make me swoon with just a look or a word. My favorite form of therapy is knitting. Best. Therapy. Ever.

Synopsis:

Life for Charlotte (Charlie) Harris couldn’t be any better at this moment in time. She has her dream job, she has the extremely wealthy knight in shining armour and she has the best friends a girl could ever ask for. On paper, the beautiful world unfolding at her feet almost appears too good to be true for a working class girl from Manchester right?

But what happens when you gloss over the statistics and realise that the happy bubble you have been living in for the past fifteen months has all been a twisted, torturous path of lies? What if you realised that the person you loved wasn’t who they claimed to be any longer?

With the once sacred and happy memories now turned into hatred and despair, Charlie must now follow her instincts to either forget her past and move on or force the hand that holds the cards to her life to reshuffle the deck before it leads onto the twisted future that lies in store.

What will she choose?

Can she forgive and forget for the only man her heart has ever loved?
(Please note that this book contains strong language and graphic scenes of a sexual nature which are intended for a more mature audience.)

Excerpt One:

“I know you’re watching me, Baby.” The groggy sound of his voice startled her somewhat.

Composing herself, Charlie smiled. “No, I’m not.”

He grinned sleepily before brilliant blue eyes opened and met her stare. “I think you are,” he murmured.

Her heart began to flutter repeatedly as their eyes continued to stare at one another. It was always like this between them, this playful yet sizzling chemistry that Charlie hoped they would never lose.  “So what are you going to do about it then?” she challenged with a smirk.

Raising his eyebrows slightly, he gave her a look that practically melted her insides to a puddle of goo. Licking her lips seductively, Charlie continued tracing her fingers across his stomach, enjoying the feel of his skin blazing beneath her touch.

“Are you teasing me, Baby?” he asked with a hint of amusement. Lifting both of his arms to rest behind his head, Charlie watched as he tensed the muscles in his abdomen, defining the already ridged muscles further.

She knew he was playing dirty, but she also knew that she could play dirtier. It was definitely time for her to up her game she decided as she removed her hand from his body and placed it on her left thigh. Very gently, she ran her fingertips from the top of her leg to the bottom. His eyes widened as he watched her fingers pursue an unrelenting path over her soft skin until she stopped at the juncture of her thighs.

Excerpt Two:

“Careful,” Callum said as he closed the space between them and placed his hands on her shoulders to steady her balance. He flicked his eyes up and down the length of her naked body, lingering unashamedly at the soft swells of her breasts. “I missed you,” he murmured huskily.

Even standing underneath the hot water of the shower, Charlie couldn’t help the way her nipples began to harden. She was unable to control the reactions of her body around Callum, so she had just learnt to embrace it.

“Your fucking tits are amazing,” Callum groaned as he stroked his hands down from her shoulders to cup her breasts. He squeezed them firmly in his hands before brushing the tips of his thumbs over her rosy, hardened peaks. Closing her eyes, Charlie bit down on her lower lip. “You like that?” he breathed as he continued to tease and knead her breasts.

Removing one hand from her chest, Callum firmly gripped the nape of Charlie’s neck and lowered his lips down to hers in one smooth movement. She closed her eyes and moaned softly as he sucked and nipped at her bottom lip.

The hot spray from the shower continuously pounded onto her skin, leaving her body feeling extremely sensitive. She gasped as a slight tremor ran the length of her body, which Callum used to slip his tongue inside of her mouth.

Meeting his tongue stroke for stroke, Charlie found her hands tracing across the well defined muscles of Callum’s stomach. Her fingertips dipped into each ridged groove before her hand found the small trail of hair that headed south. Brushing her fingers gently over the line of light and fluffy hair from his navel, she slowly crept further down until she reached his warm and pulsing shaft.
